City Lights bookstore is the most iconic place of art in San Francisco is going to be shut down, as the coronavirus pandemic forcing the business to keep it low. The publisher and CEO Elaine Katzenberger have started a campaign named #GoFundMe to afloat the business.
Eventually, that campaign has raised near about $300,000. The CEO stated in writing that, currently the bookstore aka publishing house is facing formidable challenges. It is currently shuttled down till 17 April; it could be extended to the infinite period also.
As online orders couldn’t be accessed now, there is no way to generate income. The savings are slopping down rapidly as the bookstore aka publishing house needs to clear the bills, pay the employees to keep them safe and secure both medically and financially in their house.
This bookstore was founded by Lawrence Ferlinghetti, one of the members of the Beat movement, in 1953. He was a famous poet, who has done some revolutionary creation.
