Last night Union Home minister Amit Shah was admitted to Delhi’s AIIMS. Earlier he was discharged from the hospital as he was tested positive for coronavirus.
On August 2 the Union Health Minister was admitted to the hospital in Gurgaon. He had to eat on August 14 that he would be in-home isolation for a few more days on the advice of his doctors.
The AIIMS has said in a statement on August 30 that “Amit Shah, Union Home minister is admitted at AIIMS New Delhi for post-COVID care. He has recovered and is likely to be discharged in a short time”.
Shivraj Singh Chauhan who is the chief minister of Madhya Pradesh tweeted that “Just received the news about the ill health of Union Home minister Amit Shah. I pray to God for his good health”.
Since the outbreak of a pandemic, India is the only country to have recorded more than 80,000 and now over 90,000 cases on a daily basis. Among the states which are reporting the highest number of cases on daily basis are Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu Uttar Pradesh, and Karnataka.
The government added that Daily cases are among the highest in the world, but when compared with the population is among the lowest. As of now, more than 5 crore test for detection of coronavirus infection has been conducted in the country.
