HCL Technologies unveiled their plans to obtain the self-optimising network (SON) technology from Cisco to enhance the 5G capabilities. The transaction valued $49 million to observe the India based global system integrator, which has been assumed to control the products and services produced by Cisco’s SON.
The corporate vice president of HCL, Mr Sukamal Banerjee stated that the decision of acquisition comes with the Mode 3 strategy, in reference to the provider’s focus on producing the future proof products and platforms. Also, this offering with boost up the performance of the employees and keep harmony with the multiple technologies. That required comprising the Radio Access Network.
HCL is expanding them in such technological space; with it, they can support the mobility needs of the customers. Also, after including SON, the telecommunication offerings will gain the importance of 5G network. HCL proudly announced that they are going to lead the next phase of the Cisco SON business, regarding 5G technology and looking forward to more engagement of customers with more innovation.
