On Thursday when Akali Dal’s loan Union Minister faced heat from farmers, over its initial support to ally BJP’s farm sector bills, the Kaur Badal has resigned from Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s cabinet.
she attended the cabinet meeting that cleared the bills and then stepped down shortly before the bill was passed by Lok Sabha and after that, she tweeted by saying that “Proud to stand with farmers as their daughter and sister”.
Sukhbir Badal who is the chief of the Akali Dal said that “For now they would support the government from outside but oppose anti-farmer policies”.

The farmers of Punjab and Haryana are hugely upset by the bills, which the BJP claims are the big ticket to reform in the agricultural sector.
According to the government, these pills will replace the three ordinances issued in June will help farmers across the country to get a better market at the price for the produce.
