Numerous migrant workers are still stranded in various cities due to this lockdown. The workers have neither money nor any transport to get back to their respective hometown. A migrant labour from West Bengal informed that he was a worker in Koderma, a place in Jharkhand.
Due to this unpredictable lockdown, he was stranded in Banka, Bihar and still has no other choice than walking back home barefoot. He revealed that he was left with no job, money and food due to this coronavirus. And since it is still uncertain about future employment, he finds it better to go back to his hometown instead of staying somewhere else.
The workers are appealing to the government to help them survive. They aren’t worried about dying from coronavirus but from the loss of livelihood. They have no other way to feed their families and are left with no economic support.
