Plans are being made by the RailTel Corporation about bringing a rapid transformation in the railway stations coming under the Ajmer division of Northwest railways. Not only are they planning to work towards modernizing the signal system of Indian Railways.
On Saturday, Puneet Chawla, the Chief managing director of RailTel Corporation came to Ajmer and inspected the facilities provided on different railway stations. RailTel aims to provide free WiFi at railway stations, e-office, modernizing signals, video surveillance systems at Railway Stations, and coaches of the train. The Corporation’s motto is to ensure safety and operational efficiency.
This continuance to provide free WiFi service will be after Google stops it’s Project Station all over the world, under which the tech giant provided internet to around 415 railway stations in India under the five-year partnership which ended 5 May 2020. RailTel is an official statement that has clarified that the free WiFi services will continue with the same speed and ‘network quality’.
