The Central government has made an initiative to give free testing and treatment of Coronavirus under the Ayushman Bharat Scheme which is Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana is a flagship scheme of the Indian government’s National Health Policy which aims to provide free health coverage at the secondary and tertiary level.
This, it notes, will help more than 50 crore Ayushman recipients to profit free testing and treatment in assigned private medical clinics across India. The declaration has been made after India registered on an expansion of 302 cases over the most recent 12 hours on sunday morning that is on 5th april 2020. The total number of constructive cases has ascended to 3,374 in India (counting 3,030 dynamic cases, 267 restored/released/moved individuals and 77 passings), as per the Health Ministry.
Affirming this Dr. Indu (CEO) of Ayushman Bharat said this would permit recipients to get timely and standard treatment. Giving further information, Dr. Bhushan stated: “The empaneled clinics can utilize their own approved testing facilities or tie up with an authorised testing facility for the scheme. These tests would be completed according to the rules and regulations set by Indian Council for Medical Research (ICMR) and by private hospitals affirmed/enrolled by the ICMR. Additionally, treatment of COVID-19 by private medical clinics will be covered under AB-PMJAY.” The target of this decison is to build the supply of testing and treatment facilities and increment access by roping in the private sector through AB-PM JAY scheme according to the ICMR rules, stated by Dr. Bhushan.
