Football in Nicaragua, Central America is getting a charge on the fame as one of only a handful national leagues which is going on amidst the pandemic due to COVID19. This is one of the rare Footbal league despite Covid19. The Primera Liga de Nicaragua is one of just four leagues believed to have endure the coronavirus lockdown, alongside those in Belarus, Burundi and Tajikistan. But the other side to the story is also that players are worried about the spread of the new coronavirus and stated that the fear has changed the manner in which they play.
Carlos Mosquera, goalkeeper with Deportivo Las Sabanas, told Reuters that ” We attempt to abstain from contacting different players . Football has changed, because you don’t go in for a 50-50 ball with a similar intensity”. The fear of what’s going on in the world is constantly present. Intellectually, you’re not centered around the game, you are continually believing that opponents may have the disease which can lead them to infection.
The secretary general of the Nicaraguan Football Federation, Jose Maria Bermudez brought up that Nicaragua has recorded just a handful of the new coronavirus and no caes of deaths are there until this point. The situation here is almost normal, there are only four cases of corona virus and three were imported. Decision of refusing lockdown did take place only after understanding information which was given bye the health officials. And if the situation gets worst the ltournaments will be suspended.
