Covid-19 is being the topmost rate for India and many countries are facing worldwide. The pandemic has changed the lifestyle and impacted many lives across the world it has also deeply impacted the economic conditions of countries and making it worse.
On Monday, Doctors of association Kashmir (DAK) said that this year’s flu vaccine is more crucial than ever, with flu season around the corner and COVID-19 still wreaking the havoc.
DR Nisar ul Hassan who is the president of DMK and influenza said that “Getting a flu shot in times of COVID-19 crisis is more important than ever”.
He further added that “we would be facing a double whammy of flu and COVID this fall and winter. This could be one of the most complicated public Health times with the coming together”.
He also stated that “the flu vaccine will reduce the risk of simultaneous infection and reduce the burden on already overstretching healthcare system”. He also said that 6 months and older should get an annual flu vaccine before the start of the season which begins in October and since it takes two weeks for the flu vaccine to become fully effective by September it is best to get the vaccine.
