According to the officials, the Pakistani armed Intruders who were trying to smuggle heroin, arms, and ammunition along the border of India and Pakistan were shot dead by Border Security Force(BSF).
The Mahipal Yadav who is the BSF’s inspector general, Punjab Frontier informed reporters that “A patrolling parties of BSF’s 103 battalions in Ferozepur sector observed suspicious movement near the international border of India and Pakistan ahead of the border security fence. Along the border of BSF’s Border Out Post (BoP) dal in Amarkot area, the suspicious activities were observed following which the operation was launched to neutralize the cross border threat.
BSF troops ask intruders to stop coming forward and surrender as they cordon off the area. Despite the instructions given by the BSF troops the intruders did not listen and continue to move forward as they also opened fire at the troops.
According to the sources during the operation BSF recovered five bodies with around 10 kg heroin, 1 AK 47 rifle, two magazines and 27 live rounds, four Beretta 9 mm pistols with 7 magazines and 109 life rounds, two mobile phones, and rupees 610 Pakistan’s currency.
