Super Pink Moon has been appeared big and brighter than its usual look. It was moving on the perigee or it can be said that the Moon was in the closest point to Earth in its orbit. The moon was just 221,772 miles away from the Earth.
The moon appeared in ultra-close mode at 2:08 pm. The closer appearance seems 7% larger and 15% brighter than it’s average look. The skywatchers admire the lunar glory of Super moon. Its craters and basins have been seen with naked eyes.
It may appear bigger during sunrise and sunset, because of optical illusion. But according to the angular diameter, it is not bigger.
