Facebook announced to bring back voice calling back to messenger’s main mobile app. These features were primarily removed in 2014 from the app. According to a Bloomberg report, some people are already able to use the voice and video calling features in the main app, indicating that the transition is in progress. Facebook introduced “Poll Games”. Wherein, one can ask questions through polls as “Most Likely to”. With this feature, people know more about their friends. Questions can be asked as to who is “most likely to give gifts on their own birthday?”
Birthday cash gifting using Facebook Pay
In the US, Facebook introduced cash gifting directly through messenger. When a friend sends you gift cash as a message. You will receive a notification on your app with their gift message wrapped as a gift. Once you confirm your Facebook Pay details, the cash gift will be instantly deposited into your bank account. To send a birthday cash gift, go to the Facebook mobile app and tap the button that appears alongside your friend’s birthday posts in your Facebook News Feed or their profile.
Customize Your Conversations with Word Effects
A sneak peak to word effects, where you can add emojis to make meaning to your conversation. When used in your conversation, these words will trigger the selected emoji to fill your screen. You now have the perfect way to highlight inside jokes, relive your memories and add extra delight to your favorite phrases, like that song lyric stuck in your head or “Happy Birthday” (we suggest the emoji). When it comes to celebrations, the more the merrier! We’re introducing a new way for you to easily share Facebook contacts with friends through Messenger. Simply select the contact you want to share, access the chat settings and tap Share Contact under the More Actions section.
