A new report in Bloomberg states that Nintendo is designing an upgraded model of the Switch this year, with an OLED screen. It will go into mass production this June and Samsung Display will be providing the screen.
The screen will be a 7-inch 720p rigid OLED panel set which will be a drastic shift from the current Switch which has a 6.2-inch 720p LCD panel. The new Model will be proficient with 4K graphics when hooked up to a TV, which will allow the games to be lag-free.
The older versions of Switch games would struggle to hit native resolution in handheld mode, and so the newer version is reportedly working on fixing this bug.
