Elon Musk’s SpaceX Starship prototype exploded minutes after it landed. The pioneering spacecraft was intended to take humans to Mars. The company had been developing prototypes to find the apt design that will function for the transporting of people to Mars.
Musk tweeted on Thursday, “Starship SN10 landed in one piece” but later tweeted again stating, “RIP SN10, honorable discharge” telling the world of its explosion.
Starship SN9 marked the accomplishment of SpaceX’s second high-altitude flight test of as Starship prototype from the company’s location in Texas. SpaceX said, “These test flights are all about improving our understanding and development of a fully reusable transportation system designed to carry both crew and cargo on long-duration, interplanetary flights and help humanity return to the Moon, and travel to Mars and beyond.”
