Shovik’s bail plea was rejected by the sessions court and Bombay High Court. Now in this bail application filed by Shovik’s lawyer Satish Manashinde, it has been said that the statements can no longer be considered admissible evidence after the Supreme Court verdict. All the statements have been recorded under Section 67 of the NDPS Act and the statements of the accused cannot be used as a confession during the trial.
Let us tell you that recently, a bench of three judges of the Supreme Court passed an order with the vote of two each. In which it has been said that the statements of the accused recorded under section 67 of the NDPS Act cannot be used as a confession during the trial. In such cases, concrete evidence will be needed.

According to the case made by the NCB, Shovik was in contact with some alleged drug peddlers who supplied drugs to him. There are also allegations that Shovik was purchasing drugs for the late actor Sushant Singh Rajput. Please tell that Sushant committed suicide on 14 June this year.
