Karishma Prakash, manager of Deepika Padukone, will appear before the NCB in the drugs case on Wednesday. The NCB team said in court that they will not arrest Karishma. In the court, Karishma’s lawyer said that she is ready to appear before the NCB and will also record her statement.
Earlier, it was being said that the NCB could arrest Karishma in the drugs case. Because Karishma did not reach for questioning despite the NCB giving her summons twice. Given this, Karishma applied for anticipatory bail in the court.
Drugs were found from Karishma’s house
Recently, Hashish was recovered from Karishma’s house during the NCB raid. After which Karishma was summoned by the NCB twice. According to NCB sources, in Case Number 15/20, both Karishma and Deepika Padukone were questioned face to face chatting.
Karishma gave a false reply on the chat.
Karishma told the NCB that in their chat, Weed meant Indian cigarette, Hashish means tobacco cigarette. Deepika also gave a similar answer when asked about the goods. Deepika and Karishma went to the NCB to do a lot of homework. So both of them gave the same answer to the questions related to drugs. However, it was clearly stated that the NCB was not satisfied with the response of both.
Till now, the case has been completely overturned due to the recovery of Hashish from Karishma’s Mumbai home. Now it will be difficult for Karishma to avoid NCB questions.
