Earlier in the month of June Captain Gaurav Taneja was Suspended from the pilot job. Taneja had said in Air Asia pilots are instructed to land the plane in Flap 3 mode, not in full flap mode. The airline considered it as violations of its SOP that is the standard operating procedure.
In the previous month, the former pilot had complained about the violation on his Youtube channel, and also the next day he tweeted about the violations of safety norms by the low-cost Airline. His youtube channel name is Flying Beast. After that, later on, June 15, DGCA tweeted and said that it had taken note of the concerns raised by stakeholders against the particular airline.
The senior officials of the Directorate General of civil aviation on June 15 said that Air Asia India was under inquiry after the allegations by Mr. Taneja.
On Tuesday, for the period of three months Aviation regulator of the Directorate General of Civil Aviation has suspended two senior executives of Air Asia India over Safety violations said by senior officials. When asked about it to the airline’s spokesperson he said ” Air Asia India priorities security and safety above all and it continues to practice the option to appeal for reversal.
