Delhi Transport Minister Kailash Gehlot on Friday launched the Electric Vehicle Policy Portal with an aim to provide easy incentives to electric vehicle buyers. Transport Minister said that EV dealers can apply for subsidy by logging into ev.delhi.gov.in.
Gehlot said that the Transport Department has already approved more than 100 EV models, which will be eligible for this subsidy and so far 36 vehicle manufacturers have registered themselves under this policy and 98 dealers join us in this mission Have been added To claim the electric vehicle incentive, the buyer will only be required to give the sales invoice, Aadhaar card and a canceled cheque.
Delhi Transport Minister Kailash Gehlot said that the notification of the electric vehicle policy was issued on 7 August. The notification for waiving road tax under the electric vehicle policy was issued on October 10. Gehlot said that an important part of the electric vehicle policy is the Operating Guidelines, which shows how people will be able to get a subsidy. It has been told through operating guidelines what role the dealer will play in it. When the dealer starts the subsidy process, his application will go to the MLO office. The MLO office will verify it and send it directly to the bank. This entire process is made keeping in mind the public, buyer and consumer.
