The players and the franchises are undergoing tests for COVID-19 before flying to Dubai.
The Indian Premier League that was to happen during the summer was postponed due to the corona virus pandemic, which is now scheduled to happen on September 19 in the UAE by the governing body BCCI. The players and the franchises have started training camps and are undergoing tests for COVID-19 before flying to Dubai.
The CSK Skipper and former Indian Cricket Team Captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni also underwent a COVID-19 test on Wednesday. The Micro Praxis lab at private Guru Nanak Hospital took his sample. CSK bowler Monu Singh also gave his sample for the test. Their reports are expected by today. The skipper along with other players would be in training camp from August 15 and leave for Dubai around August 21.
The CEO of Chennai Super Kings Kasi Viswanathan said “We don’t worry about him at all. Yes, we can expect MS Dhoni to be part of both IPL 2020 and 2021and probably for even the next year 2022”. He also added that the skipper has been training in Jharkhand in indoor nets.
