In a tragic incident in Bolivia, seven college students died when a railing collapsed, shooting them from a fourth-floor balcony. The students belonged to the Public University of El Alto and the incident took place in the university’s financial science’s building.
The students were gathered there to enter a lecture hall for an assembly when the railing gave way and broke down, killing seven and injuring four.
Bolivian President Luis Arce tweeted, “We regret the tragedy that occurred at the Public University of #ElAlto (UPEA), where there were several deaths and injuries. Our deepest condolences to the people of El Alto and to the suffering families. We await the prompt clarification of the facts.”
