To ensure that no considerable number of Coronavirus patients are deprived of testing the government has intended to expand testing. There are some places in around the country where no cases have emerged, these places need testing.
Therefore, the government has made a significant decision to focus beyond the hot spot areas. They will make sure that not merely the 133 districts that had higher incident but also those in cold spots shall be tested. This decision was not just taken for additional clinical data but also as a response to those who criticised India.
People said that this country wasn’t testing enough and the low positive cases might be due to under-testing. This initiative by the government will take the sample by conducting ILI (influenza-like illness) test.
And the sampling will be on the basis of surveillance to test in several districts. Almost half of the total districts in India are yet to report coronavirus and this can be a better way to confirm the positive cases.
