The number of coronavirus cases in Mumbai has been increasing every day. The BMC(Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation) has been facing challenges on regular basis due to the coronavirus.
On Tuesday, June 23, a new challenge has raised concerns for the Municipal officials.
This locality was recently marked as a new spot for coronavirus cases and the BMC has requested the Mumbai police to trace the 63 missing COVID-19 positive patients of Malad P-North ward,44 of them have been traced and found. BMC sources also said that the police were trying to trace the missing patients with the help of their CDR (Call Detail Record).
This issue came to light when many people who had tested positive for coronavirus could not be contacted on the listed phone numbers or on their home address.
Many of them were not missing but were shown as untraceable on BMC records without verification.
Four of those missing are dead and three are criminal offenders
Of the 44 traced, 17 lived in Kurar Police Station in Malad. Two who died also lived in Kurar.
