The death toll has risen to 543. In India, over 4 lakh samples are being tested as of now. Union Health Minister Harsh Vardhan on Sunday contended that the doubling rate of COVID-19 cases has increased from three days before the imposition of lockdown in March to 9.7 days now.
There are 14,175 coronavirus cases still active in the country with 2,546 recoveries. Maharashtra continues to be the terribly affected state with 4,203 cases and 233 deaths followed by Delhi with 2,003 cases, Tamil Nadu with 1,477 cases, Rajasthan with 1,478 cases, Madhya Pradesh with 1,407 cases, Gujarat with 1,743 cases, Uttar Pradesh with 1,084 cases, and Telangana with 844 cases.
