India’s total coronavirus cases on Thursday totaled to 7,67,296, with as many as 2,69,789 active cases, while recoveries stood at 4,76,377. The death toll climbed to 21,129. In the past 24 hours, the total number of cases rose by 24,879 with active cases rising by 4,845. While the number of dead in the last 24 hours jumped by 487. However, the recoveries have also increased to 4,76,378. In the nation, the total recovery rate now stands at 62%. As per the data of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare,2,67,061 tests were conducted on Wednesday.
In terms of the states, Maharashtra continues to be the worst affected state by the coronavirus. The total number of cases reported in the state has reached 2,23,724. In Delhi, the cases have increased to a total of 1,04,864. A total of 2033 new cases were added to the tally from the nation’s capital. Cases in Tamil Nadu have increased to 1,22,350. The death toll in the state has reached 1,700
