NO! Each and every life on this earth is equally important and each one of them matters. None of us neither has the right nor the freedom to harm or demean someone.Black lives matter, white lives matter, brown lives matter, women matter, men matter, minorities matter, majorities matter, animals matter, plants matter. Every damn being that is present on this earth matters!
On 25th May, when George Floyd was killed by Minneapolis Police officer the hashtag #blacklivesmatter started trending all over social media which was initially started in the year 2013 in response to the acquittal of Trayvon Martin”s murderer. People all over the world started protesting against it. Recently, in Kerala a pregnant Elephant was killed by feeding her a pineapple filled with firecrackers. Indian social media users started putting their stories about the same. All these protests and protesters wake up only after someone is killed.
Now, if any other criminal case such as rape is highlighted people will go mad tweeting about that. But is it doing any good? At the same time I understand silence also does no good. Maybe, it is putting pressure on the government or spreading some awareness among-st already aware citizens. But things will only get better when everyone of us understands that we owe a lot to this earth but the earth owes us nothing. We owe to everyone who is serving for our planet, our nation, our society and also to our house helpers. The least we can do for them is to love and respect each and everyone. There is no such criteria which can anybody superior than others. Each one of us needs to realize that everything that can come to us, can go away as well. It may be anything ranging from money, fame or anything which makes you feel superior or delusional about others.
The earth equally belongs to each one of us and by no means hating and harming someone can do any good to the earth or to us. No one is perfect but everyone can be empathetic, helpful and loving. In the quest of becoming more and more humans we somewhere lost the very essence of humanity. But, we need to remember that if cant help someone, at least we shouldn’t harm. Each and every life on this earth is as important as yours
