BSF jawan shoots himself dead with service weapon. A Border Security Force (BSF) jawan purportedly ended his life by shooting himself with his administration weapon in Kanker region of Chhattisgarh on Saturday, police said.
The episode occurred in the early hours at a timberland in Pankhanjore police headquarters region, police said. “The expired jawan, distinguished as Head Constable Suresh Kumar, was returning alongside his partners after an enemy of Naxal activity,” a senior police official told PTI. A group of BSF’s 157th force had propelled the procedure on Friday from its camp in Sangam town, he said.
In transit back, Kumar supposedly shot himself with his AK-47 rifle among Ghoda and Dotameta towns, around 200 meters in front of the camp, and passed on the spot, he said.
