A research team of Canada has been stated that bi-lingual people can go ease with a different situation, could help to get social and employment opportunities. Superior intelligence is not one of these qualities.
Brain and Mind Institute at the University of Western Ontario, has observed more than 11,041 participants around the globe. They are asked to complete 12 cognitive tests in those languages, which are used by them while talking.
The results show that the participants have performed better than the monolinguals, only in one test. The monolinguals performed better in the other 4 tests. That has been proved bilinguals do not stress to solve problems mentally.
Emily Nichols, the lead author of the study, has stated that there is no so much difference between the monolingual and bilingual peoples apart from four test results. There is a popular phrase, that bilingual peoples are smarter. Though there are some benefits of being bilingual.
