In Bangaluru 3 people were killed and 60 police officers are injured due to violence broke out in the city over a Facebook message posted reportedly by a relative of a Congress MLA.
In this incident, 110 people have been arrested till now because of violence like throwing stones on police and hitting the police officers. To do protest people have set fire on the vehicles and surround the MLA Srinivas Murthy’s house situated in the city. Now the person who reportedly posted the message on Facebook is a nephew of Mr.Murthy’s named Naveen is now arrested in a jail.
To stop this violence police performed lathi-charge tear gas and firing to scatter the violence crowd. Bangalore police have twitted that soon strict action will be taken against those offenders who created violence.
Police also informed that 24 four-wheelers were set on fire along with 200 bikes kept at a police station were also set to fire not only this the police station was also damaged badly in the violence.
As told by Bengaluru police commissioner Kamal Pant that now the situation has come under control. While there will be a curfew in those areas where violence has taken place in the areas of DG Halli and KG Halli till tomorrow. Along with this, all the large gatherings have been banned by the government in the rest of the city.
In this incident, at least one journalist was injured.
Now the Congress MLA has posted a video in which he is appealing to people to maintain peace in the city. One more video has been released by Karnataka Home Minister Basavaraj Bommai in which he is saying to the people not to take law in their hands. Many political leaders have appealed to the citizens for this.
