A woman was living her normal life for 30 years was also married for 9 years. But suddenly one day she was surprised when she came to know that she was a man, not a woman. She came to know this information when she went to the doctor complaining about stomach ache. After examining, the doctors said that the woman has cancer which generally occurs in men. Surprisingly, this woman’s 28-year-old sister also turned out to be a male. When she got examined, it was found that both sisters are suffering from Androgen Insensitivity Syndrome – AIS.
AIS is a special and rare type of disease in which when a person is born, his genes are of men but the body develops like women. This 30-year-old woman living in Birbhum, West Bengal, has been married for 9 years. When she had severe stomach pain, she went to Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Cancer Hospital for treatment. When the doctors of the hospital Anupam Dutta and Dr. Soumen Das investigated, it was found out that this woman is actually a male.
Doctors said that it is completely female to see from outside. Her voice, body texture, external organs all belong to women. But there are no uteres (baby donor) and ovaries in her body. Even this woman never had menstruation. Both doctors told that this woman has Testicular Cancer which happens to men.
