The Delhi High Court has directed a 21-year-old to do community service at Gurudwara Bangla Sahib in New Delhi for a month after the accused indicated regret.
The accused was facing charges of 307 (attempt murder) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).
The accused, Mohd Umair expressed regret which led to Justice Subramonium Prasad on Friday to quash the FIR lodged against the 21-year-old youth stating the fact that the youth has his entire life ahead of him.
Justice Prasad further directed the accused to do one month community service at Gurudwara Bangla Sahib from March 16 to April 16, 2021. After completion of one month, the accused will file a certificate from Gurudwara Bangla Sahib in the High Court to show compliance with the order.
The Court imposed a fine of rupees 1 lakh on the accused and warned him not to indulge in such activities or repeat the offense in the future.
