India being the Second most populated country in the world will see an increase in it’s population during 2048 i.e. before 2050.
According to a study, India’s population will be 1.6 billion in the year 2048, due to the economic and social complications. However, India will see a decline in the peak in the year 2100, down to 68.1% of it’s peak.
The Lancet Journal published, the world population will rise up to 9.73 billion in 2064 and again will decrease to 8.79 billion in 2100. This number is around 2 billion less than the expected number the United Nations Population Division estimated i.e. 10.9 billion in the year 2100.
It is believed that the most populated country in the world, China wil face a peak in it’s population before 2050. However, China’s population will be 51.1% of it’s peak in the year 2100.
According to a study “Our forecasts for a shrinking global population have positive implications for the environment, climate change, and food production, but possible negative implications for labor forces, economic growth, and social support systems in parts of the world with the greatest fertility declines,”.
