Let’s chat about how to start loving yourself. This is a fantastic idea! When our mates whine about having an oily T-zone or gaining a few pounds, we dismiss them and tell them it’s nothing! They are stunning, intelligent, and strong! Why is it that when it comes to ourselves, we are the most critical? It’s beyond time for us to join the self-love bandwagon and begin loving ourselves like we would our closest friends.
Be your Cheerleader
We depend on our support networks (best friends, boyfriends, and parents) all too much to tell us how amazing we are and what we are capable of. This isn’t going to work anymore. You must be your own greatest cheerleader and self-love is a solo act. Investing in self-love necessitates it coming from inside.
Some people’s self-esteem and feelings towards themselves are based on other people’s confidence in them. They don’t know that they are worthy of giving themselves this affection and acceptance, and that if they depend on someone else to do it, they are still giving them the ability to take it away.
Write a Journal
It’s important that you keep track of your life and progress, whether you use a digital diary or do One Line a Day. Think of how you’re doing, what you’re positive about, what you’re insecure about, and how you handle obstacles. Establishing your personal progress will assist you in realising your full potential and what an incredible person you are.
Get Out of your Comfort Zone
Have you ever tried to get outside of your comfort zone and do something new? What about a calligraphy workshop, a baking class, or adult gymnastics? When, if not today, would it be? Give yourself the opportunity to gain interest in an area where you might not be naturally talented. It’s cool if you’re not perfect! You tried something new that piqued your curiosity, which is fantastic. For those dreaded get-to-know-you games, you now have a new “fun-fact.”
Treat your Body like a Temple
There’s nothing wrong with indulging in a bottle of wine or a decadent doughnut every now and then, just make it a routine to look after your body. Find a workout routine that suits your lifestyle and interests. If you like dancing, look for a dance class; if you enjoy sports, look for a spot to play recreationally. There is actually enough for everybody if you value exercise in the same way as you prioritise other items.
