239 scientists around the world have written a letter to the World Health Organization warning about the corona virus. These scientists from 32 countries say that the corona virus is also present in the air.
Scientists wanted to publish the things related to this paper in the journal in the coming time. But before that it got leaked in the media. Scientists have asked the WHO to change the guidelines.
According to a New York Times report, in a letter to the WHO, scientists have said that even minor particles in the air are infecting people. It has written in the letter that scientists think that the corona virus can remain in the air for a long time and can travel around several meters and infect people nearby.
This is true of scientists then the infection would be spreading very fast in closed rooms or other such places. In such a situation, people will have to follow extra caution to work in school, shop and other such places.
Traveling in a bus can also be dangerous, because even after sitting about 2 meters away, people can get infected with the corona virus.
Professor Lydia Moravska of Queensland University of Technology, Australia, who is part of the team of scientists who wrote the letter, said – ‘We are 100 percent confident about this.
The WHO may have to change its guidelines in view of the new claims of scientists. In places where there is no better ventilation, people may inevitably have to wear masks even if they sit far away. The WHO has been saying till now that the corona virus spreads mainly from the Large Respiratory Droplets during coughing or sneezing of an infected person.
