There were eight people, who returned from Bangladesh recently in Tripura, tested positive for COVID-19. Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb stated that there is a total of 10 new patients confirmed positive for novel coronavirus infection.
Returnees from Bangladesh entered through the Akhaura Integrated Check Post on Thursday. One Border Security Force personnel from 86th battalion and one individual returned from Gurugram have tested positive.
On Friday, 166 passengers flew from Kolkata, none of them founded positive or infected.
All the precautionary measures are taking by the state government to keep all of them healthy and secure. Currently, there are 11,281 people are in under surveillance. 510 are quarantined in isolated centres and rest of them are in-home quarantine.
