Containment zones in Delhi are one of the best measure for slowing down the virus spread.10 new containment zones were announced in the capital city of India, on Sunday. The city now has a total no of 43 containment zones.
One zone in south west Delhi and nine in south east Delhi are now completely sealed according to the city govt.These sealed zones are called as red zones or containment zones. The Delhi govt also started an Operation shield as soon as the zones were sealed by the administration. Sealing, home quarentine,isolation and tracking and other essential services like supplies, local sanitisation and door to door checking are done to control the spread of the novel corona virus.
Operation Shield has been an effective method taken by the Delhi Govt and has been quite successful in containing the spread.as no new cases were reported in Dilshan Garden, a highly populated area which had the ability to become one of the hostspot for the virus as a woman infected 8 people including a doctor. The first containment zone in the city had been infected with the virus even before the Nizamuddin Markaz.
The containment zones -made to prevent the spread of transmission , was declared by the office of the district magisterate. Movement in the place is completely shut down and the authorities are always ready for supplying necessary items to the locals.
